Adam's Berry Farm

Adam’s Berry Farm in Charlotte is one of the largest certified organic berry farms in Vermont. They grow organic strawberries, blueberries and raspberries for local distribution to wholesale accounts, restaurants, breweries, CSAs and Burlington Farmers’ Market customers. Their pick your own and farm events draw over 5000 visitors to the farm annually.

Owner Adam Hausmann came to the Vermont Farm Fund for a Business Builder Loan to expand their blueberry production by adding 4.5 acres of blueberries and installing new packing equipment that will increase efficiency and provide higher quality fruit. They were able to use their VFF loan as a match for a Working Lands Grant, which will expand their blueberry production by 40,000 lbs/year of both fresh and frozen blueberries.
