Butterfly Bakery of Vermont, based in Montpelier, has been growing leaps and bounds since its hot sauce business really started to take off. Not wanting to leave their bakery products behind, they applied to the VFF for a $13,000 Business Builder loan to build out a second kitchen space so that they can produce baked goods and while doing food processing (hot sauce, mustard, and dressings) simultaneously. The new kitchen will also allow them to expand their co-packing partnerships with other local businesses.
